Club facilities
Brechin Golf Club has been in existence
for 110 years, the past 10 years however have seen the most
marked changes. In 1993 the course was extended from a Par
65 to a Par 72, and most recently a larger refurbished clubhouse
opened in May 2003.
The new Clubhouse
is much larger than the one it replaced. The Lounge and Dining
areas are nearly twice the previous size, with seating for
120. Catering is handled by Jack Gentles from the locally
renowned Brown Horse Hotel in Brechin. Jack and his staff
ensure the quality of the cuisine and service is first class.
The Bar is under
the control of Catherine Haig ably assisted by Susan Nestorow
and Sarah Kingdon.
The Pro shop is
also double the previous size and our Professional, Stephen
Rennie is delighted with the new facility. Stephen and his
assistants, Scott and Craig are always on hand to provide
advice regarding equipment and clothing. Many of the leading
brands are stocked. Coaching is readily available from Stephen
and Scott Findlater.
The two squash courts built in 1980’s are still available
for use year round.
